Planning for Success: Plan the implementation

Anecdotal evidence suggests that around half of all RCM analyses are never fully implemented. Very often this is because no one told the maintenance planners that changes were coming!

Plan for:

  1. Auditing of schedules by task and maintenance routing specialists
  2. Handing over the schedules to maintenance planners
  3. Loading the new and modified tasks into the ERP or maintenance management system
  4. Implementation of any design changes
  5. Changes to documentation, training manuals and drawings
