Planning for Success: Audit

Auditing is often neglected, but it is key to producing high quality maintenance schedules.

  1. Use auditors who are independent of the analysis group, the facilitator and the equipment manufacturer
  2. Audit both the RCM analysis itself and the quality of the maintenance tasks that are generated
  3. Start auditing at the information worksheet stage: this saves backtracking if there are any problems
